Difference between Painter and Designer

Since design was part of my life people have always had a comment around my work…” Your are a great artist”. I have never been fund of this comment, although I try not to say any comments. Theres a very specific difference in what a Painter does as an Artists and what a Designer those as a creative. Art is a free expression of communication where the artist shows his/her point of view on the world, feeling and any topic that affects them. Design is a clear solution to a problem, in which the goal is to properly communicate a specific message to an specific audience. The difference of this two profiles is mainly on how a creative piece is created and given to the world. Art can be show to any one and it ok if they get or don’t the message of the painter; Design should be judge with a specific audience and the message should very clear to them without any confusion. This two type of creator get inspired by the same subject that the world has to offer but the key message that will get to people is what makes them different.
